Thats my complaint, and a legit one at that I think. Now about the Heavy Rain patch being hard to find for casual players. I don't know, Heavy Rain doesn't exactly strike me a casual title. Maybe I'm wrong or maybe you were just joking?
I don't have a 360 so I don't know, though I do find it strange if PS3 games have bigger patches compared to their 360 versions.
Well I don't have the same games for both systems, so I couldn't tell you. I just find overall that PS3 patches tend to be more way frequent and much larger than 360 patches is all. I'm sure others who own both consoles can attest to this. It also pretty well known that lots of PS3 games tend to more broken than the 360 version of the game upon release. I've read multiple articles in the past about the excessive size of PS3 patches. So I guess I'm not the only thats noticed this.

I guess that's because publishers this gen are lazy and want to get the game out as soon as possible. So the 360 version is being developed first and the it's ported on the PS3.

And after release they have to rush out patch after patch to fix the problems that come up. And we pay a 60€ premium to be their beta testers. If I was going to pay to get a chance to work for the gaming industry, I'd probably have picked game designer and not beta tester.

With that being said, this is more a fault of the developers/publishers and not Sony, unless you count Sony's horrible architecture which is a pain to program for, which is 100% Sony's fault.

Wow, the 9 ~500mb updates that it had to download and install just finished a few minutes ago. That means it has been downloading for around 5 hours to update a single game! No offense to the OP, but don't complain about Heavy Rain, when a simple downloadable PSN game gets a +3GB update!

It's outrageous! It was said on here earlier that these updates really SHOULD be optional and I agree, especially for games like Pain.. Sometimes you don't want to invest a whole lot of time into it, (like Heavy Rain,) so when you turn to shorter pick up and play fare like Pain, you really shouldn't be blasted in the face with a GB+ update!!

liselover did you try pressing circle to cancel the update, and move on to your game?
