Personal Best:
Console: The black Nintendo Wii is the best, but to keep it retro - The Sega Dreamcast. Honourable mentions to the nintendo 64, sega master system II, sega mega drive II and European SNES.
Game - Gamecube discs just look great in my eyes, but I'll also add turbografx HuCards and Mega drive cartridges - for not being HUGE like the old Nintendo carts.
Controller - Sega Saturn controller looks and feels lovely. Gamecube controller is my favourite, but I wouldn't call it the best looking.

Personal Worst:
Console: The CD-i. Also the US SNES, the Master system model 1, and the mega drive model 1. Yes, I said it, that thing is ugly as sin.
Game - The NES cart is ridiculous. I wish we got Famicom sized carts instead. The Jaguar is worse, but thats been said plenty.
Controller - The CD-i controllers. All of them. Also the original XBox controller - big, ugly and uncomfortable.

I avoided mentioning Handhelds, but I'd rate their design and cartridges over many of the best looking options for consoles. So much more timeless imo, although I'm sure many of you disagree.

This what I said last thread like this and my opinion has not changed.
I think the Zemmix Turbo is one of the finest looking consoles ever made, if it was broken it still would make a great toy. It could be a futuristic boat or space ship, you could put your action figures in the cartridge port.
Image

Best looking:
Zemmix Turbo
PC-Engine DuoRX
Casio PV-1000
Amstrad GX4000
PSX (not the ps1 but the PS2 DVR)

Ugliest:
APF Imagination Machine
Phillips CD-i (not the smaller designs)
Amiga CDTV
RCA Studio II
PS2
Where's my chippy? There's my chippy.

Runner-up: PC Engine Core Grafx (why is there no CD-ROM to match it?)
Bonus Runner-up: Wondermega (not quite as sweet as the MD/CD1 combo, but still amazing)

Worst looking: any Atari 2600 that is not wood grain. That system NEEDS woodgrain!

This is the future! CD-ROMs in a cool black set up with lots of LED lights!

The blue/black combo cannot be beaten.

What the heck? This isn't a 2600!!! I want woodgrain!!!!!!!!
Image

Not the cheapest Sega system available... To bad this wasn't pushed in the US. The model 1 Wondermega beats the heck out of the model 2 (which was released as the X'Eye in the USA, minus the wireless controllers)

i have to agree the mega drive was my 2nd best looking console....
people have chosen the mega drive as the best looking console...
nes,snes,gameboy,genesis,sega cd#1,game gear,saturn,neo geo aes,neo geo pocket,dreamcast,ps1,2,3,wii,dsi,dsxl

The more I look at that PC Engine Shuttle, the more I like it... Although that spaceship MSX is pretty cool, too.

UGLIEST...CONSOLE...EVER... (No Simpsons reference intended) The Super A Can

Image

As for the best...what looks cooler than THE system we all grew up with in the Mid-80s/Early 90s?

Image

Worst looking cart? The Lynx carts. For crying out loud, the only thing keeping the board on the cart was the label.

Image

Now, you wanna talk to me about good looking carts?

Image

That is all. :D

I would never call that a pretty console, but I will agree that that's probably the nicest looking logos I've seen on a console (or, at least, certainly the shiniest  .)
