I vote this 'best first thread by new member'.
The gameboy advance is a crazy animal - a real mix of the old and the new. What I appreciate the most about it is the foresight Nintendo had to use flash memory for the saves instead of battery back up. All the problems that GB/GBC collectors are facing now won't be an issue five years down the line.
My only wish was that the more ergonomic GBA model 1 had gotten a first party screen back-lighting solution. The AGS-101's are awesome but I never found the SP's to be comfortable for long gaming stints.
I Love The GameBoy Advance!!!

Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

I agree Flake. I use my SP way more cuz of the screen. But it's not nearly as comfortable.

Lost Vikings. I know it's a port but the gameplay is perfectly suited to the GBA.
Mostly harmless

Astroboy: Omega Factor.
Best GBA game there is. Perhaps you already know about it, but just in case you don't, you absolutely NEED this game.

If you're looking for a unique and fun series of RPGs for the GBA, then definitely give the Mega Man Battle Network series a try. There are 6 entries in the series [actually, there are technically 12]; all available on the GBA. They are action RPGs in which you move around a 3x3 grid during battle, and your attacks are set to hit certain panels in certain patterns. It's a nice mix of Strategy and Action that really ties the game together to make something deep and rewarding. In my opinion, the 4th and 5th releases are the best in the series.
