I'm actually planning on getting this next.. Reviews have been overwhelmingly 'meh!'

For me, 9 out of 10 times that means I'll heartily enjoy it!

The reviews on everything that didn't spend millions in development is meh. Whereas I can care less if it looks like a ps1 3d game as long as its fun.

I don't regret buying it for 40ish, but I still need to complete it dammit.

I'm still in the early stages of this game and I love it! I'm a big fan of this series and I'm stoked that they added the original uncensored arcade version of the original game too. I already have that version on my arcade games ROMs but still pretty cool to have it on my Xbox 360. Hard as hell though!! In fact I only beat SplatterHouse 3. Now I have an extra challenge after I complete the new one.

I'm pleased to hear positive feedback for this game. I was really bothered by IGN's terrible review when reader reviews have been average to favorable. I have not trusted their reviewers for years now, but I wished they would have looked at it with an open perspective. Now because of a single review a lot of people will not give this game a snowballs chance in hell.

Yeah, I usually check out the user reviews more than the actual reviewer reviews. A lot of the reviewers on IGN and Gamespot seem a bit jaded.
