Windows 7 and to be honest I really love it.

I tried Linux Mint 8 a while back and while it is a pretty cool Linux distro..it's Linux. Nothing against Linux or anything, there are just some essential programs I use that cannot be run on Linux, like Propellerhead Reason..and I'd much rather use Trillian than Pidgin any day. Having that said, I don't know too much about customizing Linux like I've seen others do but..meh.

Dual booting Fedora 13 and Win7 on my primary desktop. Win7 on my newest laptop, and my 4 year old Toshiba laptop is running XP Pro. I also have a budget build used primarily as a media center which is running Win7 and Ubuntu Studio.

XPpro - it's just really solid. I use W7 at work sometimes and I actually like it quite well (for using it for a short time only). I guess I'll eventually go from XP to W7 or 8 (if it's not another vista fiasco) simply because I want my OS not to limit me on the power it uses from the hardware. One specific thing would be the 4GB of RAM limitation and not fully utilizing the multi-core processor as best it can.

I'm running XP on my laptop, Windows Vista on my gaming PC, and Windows 7 on my HTPC. All are stable and seem to handle what I throw at them with ease. What were the major complaints about Vista? I can't tell too many differences between Vista and Windows 7 since I tweak both to basically the same settings...

My biggest gripe with Vista was when I plugged my palm pilot in it would blue screen.
