You should read the Wikipedia page to decide what platform to play a game on. That's what I do, and there's usually a lot of info on the differences when a game is on multiple consoles. Take RE2 for example...

I was kinda disappointed by that article. It wasn't terribly specific. I think I'll just default to the Gamecube or Dreamcast version of each game - I like to keep my franchises on as few consoles as possible. I don't think Bimmy was in Double Dragon and Battletoads. Maybe a sequel? "Bimmy's Revenge"?
Okay so I took the advice to heart and went out and nabbed Resident Evil for the 'cube as well, since it was super cheap. Man, I love buying Gamecube games!

I died 5 minutes into Resident Evil on easy. I got hurt badly by a single zombie and then opened up the front door, hoping to find a health item. Instead I found a fucking zombie dog. YOU ARE DEAD.
