My wife and I have been looking for any excuse to take a train somewhere, and it just so happens that amtrak runs directly from Denver to Ottumwa. Crazy.

The tickets are surprisingly cheap for a round trip for two. Might be able to see some family along the way...

Consider us a big maybe.

I might actually try to go for this. Hopefully, my schedule will be more flexible in the summer and I'll be able to swing over :) Never been to Iowa, so this might be a good excuse!
