This year I'm asking for a computer that will be used specifically for emulation. In past years, I've asked for retro or import games and my mom knows how to get that stuff. She's really good with finding stuff, but it probably helps that she spends all day, every day researching conspiracy theories online while watching the history channel.

I think getting this depends on how much you are going to play with your friends. Smash Bros will give you hundred of hours of fun if your friends get into it and Mario Kart will always get you a few laughs.
If you are not going to play with your friends I do not recommend it. In the end, there are plenty of plataformers to keep you interested so you won't miss those much.
My mom offered a brand new NDS for Christmas since the two I have are kind of broken (One has the lid broken, the touch screen of the second doesn't work) but I think I will get something else because I can pick another DS for very little in any pawn shop.
I was thinking about getting another Beatmania controller, to play doubles (Yeah, that makes me an addict or something) but getting one for a fair price is hard. (Do you have one or two to sell? Send me a PM!)
I could also try to get a Dreamcast or something but I'm sure I can just wait until I see one around here.

Typically for the holidays I just buy what I want to a set limit and my parents reimburse me, as they understand that I know this stuff better than they would ever want to. Kinda ruins the surprise, but we gave up on that years ago.

I'll ask for some CD's (need to free some space on my PC), and a gaming laptop. If I'm lucky, I may also get a Wii... At least, I was promised one.

That is the best gift idea I've ever heard. That is one awesome present.
I bet he'll be happy!

I'm finally going to be buying an HDTV this Holiday season

. I'm so excited cause now I can play my PS3 and 360 the way they were meant to be played. Since my b-day was last week, its going to be a birthday/christmas present from my parents. Hopefully black friday has some sick deals on HDTVs.

I'm asking for an NES or SNES PowerPak; something I've been interested in for a long time, but never could justify the price.
