Exactly. I fill pretty much every spare hour playing video games. I fell in love with them as a child, and I continue to delight in what they give me. But I can't remember the last time I've skipped out on doing something with others in favor of video games. Hell, the closest I come is sometimes I take a random day of work to play video games, and even then I need to do that just to avoid losing vacation days. In his case it's pretty clear he was not prioritizing his life properly.
