Meant the fuse on the motherboard itself, not the PSU or Controller board.

Well, I will have a look at that tomorrow, is it just a standard fuse? Or like the one on the controller board?

It's either a line fuse which looks like a green resistor, or the glass cylinder more commonly seen.

I haven't looked inside a DC to check stuff specifically like that in ages.

Just took a look, didn't see either, I do see two silver colored tubes.

Hmm, can you take a hi-res pic of the board using the macro setting on your cam and link it here?

That way we can all take a look at the board. There were a few different revisions so it's always best to have a visual aid.

I don't have an actual camera, I do have a 720p camera on my phone, but I managed to find a hi-res shot of the model I have, it's identical, same model number and components.

I don't see (nor do I remember) any fuses on there. If you look, nearly everything is labeled. ICXXX = Integrated Circuit. RXXX = Resistor. CXXX = Capacitor. The two little cans on their side with blobs of glue are timing crystals. There's the previously mentioned fuse on the controller board labeled F1. On the power board the fuse appears to be at the back between where the power cord plugs in and the plug that runs to the switch goes. On the model 1 I opened up, it's a little black can labeled 2A 250V.

But since you've already swapped power boards and it's still not working, perhaps a capacitor on the main board got a little toasted? If a tiny surface mount one went, it would probably be a little scorched. Look if any o the vertical cans on the board look like they spilled their guts onto the board.

Nope, already checked for em, no visibly blown caps.
