I got my first car.

so for my second car, I decided to get a beater and a wrx fit the bill (and still does) :)
Reverse pretty much everything about that for me. My first car was a 1991 Volvo 240. It didn't give me any trouble, but it definitely wasn't a "super cool" sports car by any means. If I had my wish back then, I would've gotten an 3000gt and probably be in the same boat.

Thanks to my first car though, I know have a stable of 3 older Volvos. That first car left a lasting impression.

I still don't have a car :(

I almost got my cousin's old truck for dirt cheap though. It has virtually no interior, no middle rear-view mirror, one of the door rear view mirrors is broken and the other just kind of hangs there, the inside smells like mildew because the previous owner thought that putting carpet in the thing was a cool idea, you can see the street through a hole in the bottom of the floorboard, there's a glove compartment door but no actual glove compartment, AND the thing faintly smells of gas when you drive around in it. Plus it can't go in reverse.

I figured I might be better off if I keep looking so I passed.

My mother has driven her Cadillac Eldorado since she got it in 78. 212,000 miles on the thing and it still runs like a champ. It gets literally like 10 miles to the gallon thought -_-.

I don't know. I know a lot of people around here, including myself- had to pay for their own car, insurance, etc.

I bought my first car when i was..18 or 19? I Forget. I saved up 2 yrs to get one.

Somebody has their priorities straight :)

My first car will probably be a 95 pontiac grand prix, if my dad doesn't sell it. :(

Congrats, I just picked up an Infiniti M45 3 weeks ago. Not my first car, but my first with a V8...if that matters. No 800-dollar stereo, though. I'll keep it stock.

Just an update. I have been working a job and just bought a 1978 Chevy El Camino SS for 3000$ with original engine, paintjob, interior. It has 75,000 miles. I'm pretty proud of it. It looks rather nice.

Congratulations on your first car. I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with it.

One can only really appreciate things when they cost you.
