Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Re: Martial Arts
Man, I remember back in the early days when the wrestling guys would literally just dry hump their opponent for the entire match. I have to give them some credit though at least they have some guys now that will stand and trade blows. Hmmm, that didn't sound good either.Flake wrote:I'm thinking every UFC match that lasts more than 30 seconds.Luke wrote:You're thinking Olympic wrestling.
Re: Martial Arts
That is why I do not watch UFC type stuff. In my mind it is just a bunch of guys rolling around on the ground.

Good strategy. If I'm getting put in a lock, I whisper softly in my opponent's ear "Christ almighty you smell like an angel".jp1 wrote: Man, I remember back in the early days when the wrestling guys would literally just dry hump their opponent for the entire match.

You have to admit though that when it was Dan Severn all he ever did was hold his opponent down and make sweet love to them.
Things have changed a lot and now you can get a broken arm or a smashed in face on the ground but it still isn't a very exciting fight when they just hold on to each other to neutralize attacks.
Also, do you remember when Forrest Griffin spooned his opponent in a loving embrace after the fight had already ended. That didn't do a whole lot to change peoples minds about it.

Brazilian jujitsu.
Re: Martial Arts
And is there any other jiu-jitsu being practiced currently?
I mean, are there dojos of other types of jiu-jitsu (jujutsu)? I thought the original jujutsu had branched into other kinds of martial arts.
