Glad to see there's some great taste in here. Never really got into Candlemass. I'm just a straight up Ewiz guy. And just as the moniker could show, I once was a HUGE Boris fan.

As for Razorback records, by NO means would I say they're "goregrind" bands. Not in the least! The stuff that I really dig would be like Frightmare, Blood Freak, etc.- all of which is more old-school death metal than it is "goregrind".

Well my experience with Razorback pretty much amounts to Fuck... I'm Dead, Fondlecorpse, Lord Gore, and Acid Witch so yeah.

I love old school death metal. I guess I am not up with the new stuff since I am a punk and not a metal head. Metal is like a secondary music for me. :P

I was just listening to Death - Scream Bloody Gore earlier.

Edit: yeah, Razorback in my mind I equate with songs about killing and raping...in that order.

The only band I'm not as familiar with is Fuck... I'm Dead. But the rest aren't really grind... Really didn't enjoy that Acid Witch album at all. Check out Frightmare's Midnight Murder Mania. Gotta be a Mediafire link floating around somewhere... It's phenomenal!

yeah I didn't care much for Acid Witch either.

I'll give Frightmare a listen.

EDIT: oh yes, those vocals, that guitar tone, definitely a razorback band for sure!

And that is exactly why I checked them out in the first place.

Their other album "Bring Back the Bloodshed" is decent as well, but not nearly as good as MMM. The guys who started Frightmare (I believe) are now the dudes in Blood Freak, who are OK.

I wonder if PBR is still reading this thread...
