Looks like there are quite a few of us in the Austin area (I say "us" like I'm already there). Looking forward to meeting everyone. Although wherever the final meeting place is, we just have to make sure one of these places is nearby

Every time I have been to Austin I had to make sure to make a trip to one of those wonderful chrome trailers. And for an extra 50 cents they'll inject whip cream into the center of your cupcake while you wait!

If I am still here in Houston when it happens I'll take a greyhound bus up there.

FOUND IT! This was in the most recent email to me from Game Over:
"Let's meet up at Game Over..."

Do YOU want to have your next videogame related group or fan club meeting at one of our stores? What about bringing a small group by to check out our amazing and FREE video game museum?

We would love to host your small gathering of video game fanatics in one of our retail stores for FREE!
**All groups and events MUST be approved in advance**

Please email us HERE with a description of the size and nature of your group event for more information and event approval.
I emailed them with a request for possible cost and available times. I also sent them a link to this thread.

Nifty! Saves me having to ask when I head there Friday.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Cool. I will let you know if I haven't heard back by then so you can ask in person if you still head over that way.

edit: update added to first post
update 6/2/10

-found gatherings and meets information in a Game Over Video Games email, they have been emailed

-Red7 at 7th and Red River Downtown holds NES nights on Tuesdays or Wednesdays in the lounge. They also will rent out for parties. I will have to find more info on this one. I have some email address to contact.

-There is a PC gaming arcade near me. I'm going to check them out on Saturday to see what they have to offer.

I'll probably regret asking but...what kind of music?
