Best party games for 4players?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Might be LOL outta here but how about PS1 You don't know Jack?

Along the same lines, anyone try Buzz series, hoping there is one like You Don't Know Jack.

Guantlet Legends is kinda the industry standard. Also, pretty much any Beat 'Em Up that supports 4-players is gonna be fun. Look into OpenBOR on consoles.

Marvel vs Capcom for the Dreamcast had a 4-Player mode.

VERY surprised no one mention Timesplitters yet. It's made by many of the folks that made Goldeneye 007, except that they injected the gameplay with absolutely weird humor. It's perfect.

Also, Geist.

Second on the Timesplitters. I like it better on the GCN than on the PS2. That game is easy if you have ever even looked at a 1st person shooter. And how can you not laugh at a monkey holding a gun?

Rival Schools or PS1 or Project Justice for Dreamcast.

Because nothing brings friends together like baseball bats to the faces or asses kicked by homo-erotic synchronized swimmers..

I have the original Buzz quiz game and the Buzz movie trivia game for PS2. They aren't anywhere near as clever and funny as the You Don't Know Jack series. Buzz does have some good questions though and the novelty controllers make it feel a bit more game-show-ish.

For other party games, I really liked Fusion Frenzy on the X-Box. It's a good little party game.

Also, if you dare, Snowboard Kids on the N64 is really fun, but it made my friends and I get INSANELY competitive. The game looks cutesy, but we were ready to slit each others throats as we got into it. You can do some seriously aggravating things in that game.

I second that. Snowboard kids is a blast.

This basically covers the Dreamcast:

There's no point in recommending fps games. It's not you can ask anyone off the street and expect them to be proficient in dual-stick controls.

I didn't know there was a PS1 port of YDKJ. Headrush is still funnier, but the series is dated somewhat because it incorporates heavy pop-culture references.

Mario Party is not worth it. Too much time wasted on moving and too little playing videogames. It's just slow and while at first it's fun soon you get tired of waiting.

I tried Buzz (The musical one) and I didn't like it. Too slow, the announcer fails at being funny and the questions weren't so great. The songs had no vocals and were really bad covers. They were also very common/cheap licenses like "The final countdown" so don't expect a lot of great music.

I would write more but I'm busy!

Perfect Dark for the N64 or the port to xbox 360!

Pack the map "grid" full of dumbed down "meatsims" with all kinds of weapons and you're in for a chaotic and ultra-fun game! Have at least two exploding weapons, mines, rockets etc for extra chaos!

But the trick is in having the most dumb sims. That way you can't really predict when they're going to shoot or in what direction. So just forget about tactics or anything that doesn't scream "party!", this shit is random!
