I just signed myself for an account over there since it looks interesting. As I was registering, one of the last questions was:

Can you do math?
What is (400-78+56-28+150-15 +10) * 2?

Never seen anything like that before beyond the simple 2+2 type verification questions.

I've seen one forum that requests the name of a character from a popular television show.

Agreed. This guy either has dissociative identity disorder or he's a scamming little troll. I think it's the latter.

I love how almost everybody in that thread is defending this website. It makes me feel proud of the community that we have here. The people who aren't, judging on their post counts, are highly likely to UnpluggedClone's multiple accounts.

Somebody should name and shame him and/or prompt the mods to investigate his behavior. I've never been on a forum where having multiple accounts is within the rules (without prior consent from the moderators/admins). If Digitpress has a BST (I don't know, I've never heard of the place until this thread popped up) then it's in their best interest to ban him from there anyway, based on previous conduct on our website. We should stand united against scammers! The internet isn't as anonymous as most people think and scammers will be caught.

I've had an account with that forum for a while now, but no post count. Otherwise I'd probably put my 2 cents in. Hell, I might PM a mod with a warning about that douche bag!

Bought a mod chip for my Saturn from there. Followed their instructions, installed it, everything worked great! Haven't checked their forums, but I'll take everyone's word on it.

Take everyone's word for it, meaning it's a good place since all the posts have been positive.

It's not our place to tell them what to do on their board. If they want details about UnpluggedClone, I'm sure they'll come ask.

IMO, the thread on DP is perfectly fine. Most everyone disagrees with the OP anyway, and those who don't seem to have good reasons. In any case, I'd be against any censorship either here or there, especially on the grounds of "the posts are being negative about the forums". Hell, we probably need a little more internal criticism so we can keep improving!

Again, that's just one of his accounts. He was also here under the names Alpinex2 (http://www.racketboy.com/forum/search.p ... 4&sr=posts) and GarbagePailKid (http://www.racketboy.com/forum/search.p ... 8&sr=posts). Not everything is inflammatory of course, but the amount of threadcrapping and hostility in those posts was more than enough to warrant a boot.

I know why he decided to pitch a fit just now. He tried to sell in BST here again just the other day. He joined here again as "VintageGamer80" last Wednesday, 04-28. First post was a sale thread in BST, which is of course against the rules. It was just ebay links for a bunch of store display stuff, with the ebay account being a variation with "alpine" in it. I alerted a mod and he was banned immediately.

I have screenshots of the post (before it was deleted) and the first linked ebay auction in case it goes away in case any other mods want to look other than the one that I alerted and cleaned up his shit. So he joined here again with a new name despite being banned before (and tried to pretend to be a newbie), immediately broke the rules by posting in BST as a first post, got deleted and banned, then went to cry about it on DP a few days later.

Can somebody who has quite a few posts on there, or a positive rep please notify the mods of a potential scammer among their midst? Feel free to mention me and the evidence we already have on him as a scammer and feel free to post a link to this thread.
