That was incredibly fun.
It was even more fun to be involved! It was fun to see so many 'grown-ups' acting like kids. Really, the energy in the crowd was unreal. People were just having so much fun. We hopped on a bus to get to the 3rd location and it was packed with people from the flash mob. It was a markedly different bus ride from the typical downtown transit affair. People were talkative, boisterous, laughing, even singing. It felt like I was on a school bus full of kids, but pretty much everyone was 20-something or older. Really diverse crowd too.

We don't drink, but this particular restaurant has none alcholic pairings, which surprisingly complimented the meal very well. They used things like Kumbucha and various tonics.

We are also vegetarians so that usually rules us out from most upscale restaurants. But this place is completely vegetarian. It's a small intimate setting. They only seat about 25 people and they only have two seatings per night, one at 6:30 and one at 9:00. The ingredients were supplied by local farmers as well as people that forage through the nearby woods for edible plantlife. They had very creative menu ideas. I am a good cook and have lots of ideas and recipes for various vegetarian cuisine, but they were using things I had never even thought to try. As a vegetarian it is so nice to have a place like this. There are only a few 'special occasion' restaurants you can eat at when you rule out meat.

It's a shame the website doesn't have a "meet the chef" section. As a chef and owner of a catering business (soon to no longer be a business but a hobby) I'm all kinds of interested of the chef's background.

Afterwards, my wife took me to this VERY fancy restaurant for a 5-course dinner. It was a great birthday. :)

I just watched one of those videos...a flash mob is nothing like I thought it was going to be. I honestly never heard the term before. Nice jam though, south Detroit is really Ontario Canada though.

and how come no one wished me a happy birthday? I know I'm not as cool as JT, but 31 is the new 21 people!

Happy happy King.

I'm surprised we don't have a forum calendar. It would be nice to know in advance when someone's Birthday is coming up.

That reminds me, I never sent out modman's birthday gift. Sorry buddy, I'll get back on that.
