This is crazy.

I also heard, albeit in a tabloid (the now-defunct Weekly World News), that this one guy took an axe to the head and lived... with the axe buried in his skull. Apparently, the axe served as a seal to keep the wound from gushing blood.

Now, I know it coming from a tabloid technically cuts its believability to zero, but I think it's possible. Like the food-fight promotion this restaurant does.

But in all seriousness, I hope this guy is alright.

That isn't as far-fetched as you might think. Car crashes are a good example; sometimes someone gets pinned between a car and a wall and their torso gets partially severed. The car keeps them alive as long as it stays in place.

At least he still can have kids; hopefully none of them will pop out with knives through their heads, though. Dang, that would make me laugh.

See Phineas Gage.
I had never heard of that story before, thanks for posting the link Hobie!

As far as knife-in-the-head-guy goes... wow! I can't imagine what must have been going through his head at the time...

Tasteless, I know... In all seriousness though, I hope the guy makes a decent recovery. That is horrible that someone could bring themselves to putting a knife through a human skull due to anger over something recreational.
