Can gaming be an addiction?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I played Dreamcast and hated it,
You work 3 hours to go through a level and htere is no save point, you have to complete the whole thing. and its damn difficult.

are the gamecube or 360 more lenient?
I have the GC version and still play that. I think they are all about the same. Save point wise, its the same and difficulty is the same. You just have to do a lot of leveling up and get some good rares and raise your mag for it to get easier. The beginning and starting off is difficult but once you get moving its not so bad. I understand about taking forever to complete some areas. The Ruins is nasty on very hard and ultimate modes. I love that game though.

I got addicted to EverQuest upon release
dropped out of school,
lost/ignored my friends
lost my income (due to not going to school)
lost my apartment
and finally lost my country (so to speak), due to meeting a woman on-line and moving abroad
which eventually lead to me living on the streets for 2½ years

yeah... gaming can be addictive

been on a long sick-leave (8 years, or so) and I am even "recommended" to stay at home and play games
not that I would want to do anything else ^^
C-64 will never die
- only the players
