Buying games based on the composer/ sound director

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

No I have not, but I personally have enjoyed Jesper Kyd's work. First noticed him with the Hitman series but has also done a number of well known works including both Assassins Creeds and Borderlands.

Hey hey hey goodbye

Come to think of it I will list some of my favourite authors along with preferred soundtracks, and I'll try to narrow the list down to the games whose music is integral to the experience (IMHO)

Soundtracks sometimes influence my decision to buy a game, but usually not. The one case I can think of where I bought the game primarily because I loved the soundtrack was Tetrisphere. Brilliant soundtrack on that game with obvious influences from Aphex Twin and Prodigy.

I also find that a major part of the appeal of Rockstar games like the Grand Theft Auto and Midnight Club series are the soundtracks.

Tetrisphere looks like a really weird game, but I like the prodigy a lot. I bought the Grand Theft Auto: Vice City album of V-Rock. I liked almost every song on that album. In fact that is probably my 2nd favorite GTA game, next to GTA 2.

I really loved the music for Quest for Glory V: Dragon Fire... I've been trying to download the sountrack for so many years now and I can never find it. I'm actually considering buying the real cd if I can find it somewhere.

Anyone else played/heard this?

I looked it up... Looks like an early version of Morrowind.

I've given games a look I normally wouldn't of because I heard some good music from them. Although, I won't say I've ever bought a game on soundtrack alone. I have bought soundtracks to games I don't own or have never played.

I discovered the Let's Tap soundtrack today. It's awesome, but I don't know if I'd enjoy the actual game or not.
