Indeed, we are all going to die; it is a fact of life and necessary for all of us.

People only die though when people forget about them and their memories, otherwise their spirit lives on. She also lives on in you, as 25% of your genetics were hers.

Spend time with your grandfather, he will be feeling very lost and emotional now, it will make a massive difference to him, and your parents, if you spend time to write to him often, visit when you can, or certainly phone call. It will mean a lot to him and help him to get over his loss. He is the one who will really suffer - she was your grandmother, she was mother to one of your parents (hard for them too), however she was your grandfather's wife for many many years so his is the worst pain of all.

Cancer sucks. My stepdad died of cancer in October, he did recover for a bit after initial treatment. He got lymphedema as a consequence of the cancer. They said they had removed 100% of the cancer. Months later he got sent to hospital after a check up, 5 days later he died. I'm still reeling from it.

I don't really know what I can tell you, or what advice I can give you. Sorry.

People can't escape death, it is a natural cycle of life, people are born and die. You have my condolences :cry:
