However... they're now sold out! This sort of thing always happens to me...
I guess I'll just get on the wait list. Does anyone know if there's another place I can get a decent price on one? Hopefully it won't take too long to get restocked.
yeah I know where to get it, and it's in stock... and it is cheaper then jandaman by 2 dollars.

It's not the same thing dude. It's worse.
And I always wondered why they told me 'drugs are bad'

I have a question related to all this cart stuff. I have a cart myself but when I bought it I was originally just looking for a memory cart. I got it and it was an all white cart with no sticker on it. I put it in and started using it and it turned out to be an Action Replay cart and it played my Japanese Christmas Nights so apparently it's an AR of some sort for sure, but I don't know which one it is because there is no sticker on it. All I have to go off of is the version of AR thats in it, I'll go ahead and give that out if it'll help me identify what type of cart it is.

the easiest way to find out what it is? Just burn metal slug and one of the various fighters that requires a 4mb ram cart, and if it plays both fine, you got an all in one. If not, you have to solder somethings together inside. I'll find the hack if you need it. It may have already been posted in this thread I think tho...

I'd prefer to stay away from taking my Saturn apart to do things to it. I'm not great with a soddering iron honestly and I'm afraid I'll mess it up, which is why I don't burn Saturn games, I just buy them.

well, the mod is to the action replay cart and if you have a mod chip, why not burn games? If you in fact do not have a mod chip, just buy the cheapest 4 mb game that you can find. Or borrow one from someone on here.

Thats...what I've been planning on doing. I'm just gonna have to take a plunge and buy something like X-Men vs Street Fighter and see if it works, if not I'll know what to do, go buy the 4 in 1.

metaleggman, can you please tell me what the mod to the non- 4 in 1 version is to make it a 4 in 1?

I've searched high and low for it and the only thing I can find is your post :(

My only issue with the PAR carts is that they can be a pain with multi-disc games. Sometimes it won't let you switch discs and screws things up. What I would do is get a 4meg cart or the PAR to play the RAM games, get a modchip to play burned games, and get Satconv.exe so before you burn your ISO's you can change the country code on them and have no need for a region switch.

:)

I personally have a AR 4 in 1, and it works fairly well. The auto switching 1MB 4MB RAM is awesome, and it really makes those games that utilize it shine. For a cheat device, save backup, and V-RAM, you can't go wrong with AR. But if you don't require all the extras, Racketboy's cart would probably be a better choice as there are quite a few problems with various revisions of the AR carts.

I unfortunately got one of the buggy ARs that freezes when you try to add new cheats or move saves from the Saturn to the cart and vice-versa. Anyone heard of a fix for it besides sending it back to Hong Kong?
