I agree, I also love Mega Man X the best... x4 and x5 were good, but never played x2 or x3.

Oh, and referencing to my previous statement:

I know they released Mega Man 9 in a fake NES cartridge case at some point. I'm pretty sure they were on DVDs. I remember seeing them on eBay for astronomical prices.

The NES cart was just a case for a CD with stuff from the game (screens, etc). It wasn't a working game.

I instantly get over excited every time I hear some form of 8-bit game is coming out, even if it is in its tenth installment of its original series. 8)

Ugh, don't even get me started. I'm absolutely loving this new 2D revival trend - New SMB Wii, Mega Man 9 and now 10, and the upcoming 2D style Sonic - but if I heard a 16-bit style Super Mario World 3 or Donkey Kong Country 4 was coming out I might not even get to play it. I would probably have a heart attack out of the sheer shock and excitement.

Yeah, I have one of those Press Kits from Capcom. It's still sealed. But if someone actually makes a ROM of Mega Man 9 (it would require a full rebuild) I'd be so over that.

I love what they did with MM9, but another MMX complete with SNES graphics would be beyond fantastic.

Yeah, I'd be down for a new game with SNES graphics too.

That's what I was going to post too. I want another 2D SNES style MMX. And a 2D sequel to Sonic CD. They could even release it on a CD instead of a DVD just for the novelty of it.
