Seriously, I'm sold.

Anything huge and purposely in the way of things to be 3D is cool to me, that's why the VB appeals so much to me and why I want one so bad.

New 3D just sucks because people look like dicks with the glasses on and there's never any cool 3D effects like wireframe or single color green or red video.

Sheesh! Well fuck you too then buddy!

You guys have some serious aggravation about 3D. Did 3D kill your family or something? CHRIST! Talk about an over-reaction!

Yeah, I can look around me and see the real world in 3D, but just as a reminder:

Image

In real life I can't fight without physical consequences, I can't cast magic spells, I can't fly, I can't run around a cartoon cell-shaded world, I can't do any of the other things that I enjoy doing in videogames that I would not or cannot do in real life. Putting videogames and movies in 3D just makes the fantasy worlds feel more like a tangible reality. Anything that can bring fantasy and imagination more to life is fine by me.

Man I'm surprised of all the hate around here.

The product is very solid as far as I'm able to know, no flickering, solid game support and the 3D effect is well-done, much better than anaglyph glasses. It's expensive yes, but there are lots of users around here that spend as much on Radiant Silvergun or Snatcher or Panzer Dragoon Saga. Hell, some users around here have all those games.

NVidia also is taking the product very seriously which is a plus, consider that they are branding it under the GForce flag, their most dearest baby.

If you don't like 3D effects then this is not for you, stop complaining.

Also you are all poor! I'm sure you dont' even have several hats!

I am only bitching for the fact that everyone on here bitchs about the price of new consoles...but then OH FUCK!!3d!!! YES!!!!....12,000$ AWESOME!

Why would you buy something 3d...if you wont even spend the money on a good computer/console to use them on?

Cant fly? .....well...I guess all those pilots are just fucked out of a job...
Cant get into a fight without getting your ass kicked?....take up boxing and dont be a puss
Cant run thru a color cartoon world? Goto a themepark
Cant shoot someone in the head and get away with it? Go into the army

anything else I can debunk? :D

wasnt ment RIGHT at you, just using what you said I suspose. I dont see the point in why 3d is susposed to be this crazy thing when there is so much in reality that well...makes it real. Games are ment to take you away from whats real right?...so why would you want to bring it to life? If someone wants 3d...go out and do it. Lets also remember this is a retro forum where 5 to 1 are going to say they prefer 2d old school to anything new school in general.

Here's an interesting article from Gizmodo about 3-D technology development:

Also, Kotaku reports that 3-D gaming is all the rage at the latest CES.
