Where's the money in that? God was going for a novel, not a combination of short stories.
Sheesh. I'm going to peg you as someone who would rather read The Hobbit over the Lord Of The Rings.
I think that was sarcastic enough to not put in blue font.
Not that I'm automatically making the theoretical jump from Islam to Jihad, but since this topic seems to be about people doing so, this article seems relevant:
Of course, I know plenty of Muslims who don't buy into the Jihadist creed at all, and are in fact advocates for peace and tolerance. Still, it sounds like this news could prove a promising challenge to some of the more indiscriminate Jihadist rhetoric.
Having said that, I'll also acknowledge that one could make the argument that many other religions (Christianity included) front a guise of "honorable" warfare and then in fact violate their own terms, killing innocents and the like.

Whenever I see jihad I always think of Frank Herbert's Dune and Paul Atreides aka Muad'Dib aka Kwisatz Haderach aka Padishah Emperor aka Mahdi aka The Preacher. I didn't leave any out have I. Guess you were wrong about me Luke. I did enjoy the hobbit just as much as the Lord of the Rings.
I don't think religion is the reason for war or hate.
Think about it, if atheist think that religious people are bad for the world they will start a war against them, just like christians against the muslims or the opposite . People tend to fight what is different from them, white fight black, atheist fight religious , Irish fights English, you see religion is not the common factor here.
I am middle eastern, and believe it or not personally I don't mind the swastika, I know every one hates Hitler and all, but it doesn't make me upset really. I also do not mind the revolution flag(is it the red one with a big blue X with stars inside it?) , I hear its the flag of people from the south of USA. But I do not even know what it stands for.
I don't mean to be mean, but Germany and some other nations(maybe Italy) were all like Nazi and believe in German state and all of that, but once they lost the whole state was like NO NO NO Hitler was bad person, no body mentions Hitler any more, we hate him. I don't get it, you were just supporting him and screaming his name!? Mussolini is another example, they all do his salute and believe in him, based on what I knew after his death they kept him some public place so people would spit on him!?
Last but not least, I think the whole Hitler thing was a joke. First Hitler is not German as I have been told, but he was seen as top leader of Germany. Second all his crap about the Aryan race, and he is not aryan(My french teacher(from france) told me that Aryans are blonde with blue eyes, Hitler does not look blonde to me), then he makes this thing about hating Jews and his grand mother is a Jew? Then he takes and Indian symbol(the swastika) and puts it as a symbol for the Germans?

It shouldn't be, but it seems to be taken that way a lot.

To be fair, the people of the time weren't told about what was really going on, and many didn't support him in the first place.

Hitler was from Austria but he was ethnically Germanic as many of the people in the countries of northern and northwestern Europe are. The Aryans were a branch of Indo-European speaking people that migrated into northern India in the sixth-century BCE. I do not have any idea if the Aryan were blonde or not but from the Rig Vedas we do know that they had "skin the color of wheat". I think the blond hair blue eye thing is some sort of Nordicist thing really. Hitler was not part jewish, that is something people made up for some odd reason. Do you see why he took that Indian symbol? Because of the Aryans. The Aryans are the ones responsible for the caste system which at the time was based on varna or skin color. Besides the Swastika has been used in many cultures. Just sayin'.
Yes, being blonde and having blue eyes doesn't have much to do with being Aryan. As a curiosity, Iran (the country) gets its name directly from the word "Aryan".
