I believe David Hayter would be perfect as snake even though Russel was the actual inspiration.
Agreed, Russel may have been the inspiration but Hayter made the character into a fully realized and relate-able being.

Duke - Arnold... easily seeable. Duke is a parody of so many action movie characters played by the likes of Arnold and the sort.

Snake - Kurt Russell... yeah modern Snake doesn't really look alike. Early snake (MS days) certainly I could see it through the pixelated mess. And lastly, denying it despite the glaring fact the comment under it points out the "Snake based on Snake" comment. Yeah. Would you be annoyed if someone pointed out the similarity between the main characters of "Snatcher" and "Blade Runner"?

The fact you guys get your panties all in a bunch over this makes me scratch my head an go, "I'm being trolled right? I hope I'm being trolled for their sake." If not the fact you get so annoyed by some people having a little fun blows me away.

Yeah, it doesn't really bug me, but it's fun to be a pissed off gamer every once in a while.

That was pretty shitty. The only characters that looked anything, anything like their RL counterparts is if they were inspired by that person (ie. Duke and Arnold).

those grunts really did it for you, huh? Aside from the fact that it is absolutely obvious that he's drawing HEAVY inspiration from the Plissken character in the escape movies, way to really oversell a pretty easy performance.
Don't that just look oh so tasty?

See my last post above.

And yes those grunts really did it for me, you try capturing the amazing Metal Gear-ness or ID-Tags-ness in Hayter's voice when he says things like that.

I thought they would at least compare Mario with Ron Jeremy.

You guys do remember what Snake asked to be called during the Raiden section of Metal Gear Solid 2, right?
