I traded a Death Note poster (that I got for free) for Pokemon Diamond (cart only) today.

The asshole kid down the street came over to trade and ended up stealing my 1989 UD Ken Griffey Jr. Rookie card. He was much bigger than me and denied the whole thing - even when my parents tried talking to his. So I basically had no recourse and it pissed me off.

Anyway, I collected and traded a lot of baseball cards from the mid 80s-early 90s and this was the only "deal" that ever went bad.
