Where do you score your best game deals?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I check craigslist every time I'm online. I also visit Goodwill fairly often, as well as the local flea market. I never go to garage sales, but that's because waking up at 6 AM on a Saturday or Sunday is impossible for me. I've heard many members here singing the praises of garage sales, though.

Sometimes, the things that I'll buy aren't really incredible deals until I've unloaded all the stuff I don't need/want on eBay or the BST forums here. Example: I recently purchased (from craigslist) a Gamecube with Beyond Good and Evil, 2 other low value games, one Wavebird, one regular 1st party controller, and two 1st party memory cards. I paid $30 for everything - which is a pretty good deal on its own. But after I sold the Gamecube and Beyond Good and Evil, I pretty much made my money back. Basically, I got a Wavebird and some other 1st party accessories for free.

The key to getting really good deals is persistence and - more importantly - knowing the value of what you are buying beforehand.
