I thought the same thing when they included the original Odyssey. It's a bit of a stretch to call that a video game. All it was was 2 squares. It was more like a board game with video technology that gave way to full on video games.

IGN does suck, but I really don't see how they could do a top 25 and NOT include it. I mean, it was the first instance of a console with interchangeable cartridges. Granted, the whole system worked completely differently from the later consoles, but it was still a major benchmark.

Those weren't cartridges, those were jumpers. But the Odyssey WAS the first home console, period. It beat out Pong by a year.

They were jumpers in a cartridge format. My printer's ink cartridge doesn't have ROM chips in it, but that doesn't make it less of a cartridge.

Dreamcast and Playstation are so much better than 360. I really hate IGN anyway though.

Just realized I got 10, 9, and 8 right.

And yeah I wasn't thinking about xbox live when I read it, they mentioned its HD capabilities at first which I didn't think was that big of a deal, but xbox live was why I figured it'd be above wii which is more of a sales success than a revolution. And if anything its starting to damage nintendo's reputation with the people who got it through the n64 and gamecube years.

Well it's not hard to out shine the Wii. If anything it should be lower in the list.

I love my 360, but I'll be damned if it outranks the PS1. How could IGN just shit all over one of the best (and most important) consoles of all time? It ushered in 3D gaming to home consoles for crying out loud!
