Best Game for Wii ?
Re: Best Game for Wii ?
If you like House of the Dead give HOTD:Overkill a shot. It is a bit over the top but it is alot of fun. Ghost Squad is another great lightgun game.

Nathan, I highly recommend Zelda Twilight Princess. It's not as great as the older ones but still damn good, I enjoyed it. I would also try out Mad World and No More Heroes. Two great Wii titles. Zack and Wiki is also a fun one.But those are my picks. Also, if you're into RPG's check out Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn.

On a side note, does Metroid Prime (first one for Gamecube) get any less boring. I played through the first level and am going around the second level and it is just boring as shit. I hear great things about the series and the 3rd one on Wii, but damn I am not getting into Metroid Prime.
Also, is ExciteTruck actually a good game? I've only really heard about it through this forum, but its been getting praise.
I would definitely recommend Twilight Princess, to me it is the best Zelda game I have ever played. It tops Ocarina of Time for me. The weapon ideas were just incredible. I am going back and playing the older ones (currently playing Majora's Mask) and while I am into them and can play for awhile, with Twilight Princess I did not want to put it down.
Donkey Kong Jungle Beat is a lot of fun if you haven't played it on the Gamecube. I've only played the Wii version and I love it. Its an excellent platformer.
I also have: HoTD 2&3, Klonoa, Brawl, Ultimate Shooting Collection, and I just bought Galaxy on eBay.

I can agree that the 3-D metroids are boring, but I fuckin' love Super Metroid. Truth be told, Metroid the other M looks amazing. I'll probably get it.

Well, besides an episode of Talking Classics with Keith excercising on it...

I don't get it either. It's always right at the top of Best Games for Gamecube lists but I find it boring as hell.molotovwars wrote:On a side note, does Metroid Prime (first one for Gamecube) get any less boring. I have 1 and 2 and have tried before to get into them, but can't.
My friend absolutely loves them and went nuts when I told him that I planned to get rid of them!
He basically forced me to keep them. Maybe one day I'll force myself to play them, but yeah, they are so dull! I do not understand the hype.

Re: Best Game for Wii ?
You guys have convinced me to get Twilight Princess. I need a good long game to play.
But should I just get the GC one? Are the Wii controls worth it? Are the graphics better? I like the GC controller.

Re: Best Game for Wii ?
I've not played the GC version but from what I've read its basically the same engine but the wii version has much nicer lighting effects. Swinging the remote swings the sword, although its hard to get it to register a vertical slash or a stab and the nunchuk bashes the opponent with your shield. They dont really add to much to the game tbh.
I would still get the wii version as it tends to be a fair bit cheaper than the GC one, unless you like to collect rarities of course.
I love TP, i've clocked over 70 hours and there are still 2 more sidequests and the final boss to finish. I think they created a great world to explore.

on the flip side i thought it was a pretty boring Zelda that offered nothing new. And i wasn't too excited that i had to waggle every time i was in a fight. With a game like that you fight a lot and it just got old fast.Curlypaul wrote:I love TP, i've clocked over 70 hours and there are still 2 more sidequests and the final boss to finish. Maybe i would've liked the gamecube version better.
