Re: New To The Forums
Metal Slug, man. My girlfriend loves it. We also have fun playing Golden Axe and Columns.PGchris wrote:Haha I mean we have a very healthy relationship we just don't see eye to eye on video games, she loves donkey kong country though so we play that alot. I'm always open to suggestions on good co-op, but I've pretty much given up on trying to get her interested.General Chaos wrote:I'm assuming you've already tried co-op games to no avail? If not, it may be a good idea. I believe there have even been some studies showing that games are capable of building team-work skills, and certainly that is a very important element of a healthy relationship.PGchris wrote:I'm jealous of all these people who have girlfriends that actually game, it's nearly impossible to get my girlfriend to play something with me.

Welcome! It is always nice to meet another Sega gamer, regardless of platform or gender...lol...all Sega systems rule.

Nothing like being a woman to get attention online is there? Woot.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

I remember trying to log onto your DC-Talk PSO server for months! When I finally did get logged on, there was nobody there. Still cool that I can play online, though. Anyway, welcome to the Racketboy forums!

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply your relationship needed improvement, but rather wanted to stress that co-op gaming can have a much different effect than competitive play. Anyway, as some others on this site have already made mention, there is a great co-op gaming site that covers current gen systems and PC: http://www.co-optimus.com/index.phpPGchris wrote: Haha I mean we have a very healthy relationship we just don't see eye to eye on video games, she loves donkey kong country though so we play that alot. They even have a running series called "co-op couples," about, well... couples who play co-op games together. I do actually have a hard time getting my wife to play retro co-op games with me. For some reason she really loves Diehard Arcade and Dynamite Cop, though. I think beat-em-ups in general are a pretty good genre for some couples co-op. I'll try to compile a list at some point; maybe even write up an article of my own.
