i thought the game was okay. i never beat it though. when i got to the point where i needed a walkthrough i just said, "fuck it, i'm gonna play me some final fight cd instead." even with the walkthrough it was hard. i got to the point in the game where i had to tap the phone lines and i couldn't figure it out and i kept on blowing up.Pulsar_t wrote:

Its pretty enjoyable, the cutscense are funny. I don't think its worth more than $100. I might pay $50 but would easily pay $30 for enjoyment purposes, not because of resale value. If you get a chance at least burn in to try it out before putting that much money towards it.final fight cd wrote:is keio really worth the price tag?pepharytheworm wrote: Keio Flying Squadron
Rise of the Dragon is pretty cool, I only had one part where it was a little hard. The electrical box part.
Here's some more really liked:
The Space Adventure
Android Assault: The Revenge of Bari-Arm
Flink ( this game looks really good and shows of the hardware)
Heart of the Alien ( if you liked another world you'll love this plus it includes another world)
Lords of Thunder ( people say the Turbo versions music is better but I perfer the music on this version, there is even a bass solo not present on the turbo version)
Robo Aleste
Spider-Man vs. The Kingpin
I really love the sega cd and am trying to get a complete collection. I have 65 titles but still a way to go.

So many, lets see:
Sonic CD - Superb music, classic Sonic gameplay, what isn't there to love!
Silpheed - Sweet shoot em up. One of my early introductions to the genre.
Robo Aleste - Another sweet shoot em up.
Snatcher - Never played this back in the day, but of course it is now a favorite.
I have long been a fan of point and click adventure games, so there is a lot to like on the Sega CD.
Rise of the Dragon - I like Blade Runner, so of course I like this.
Willy Beamish - I enjoyed this a great deal as a kid, so it holds a lot of nostalgic value for me.
Dune - Sort of a point n click/strategy hybrid. Awesome ambiance and feel. My first Sega CD game.
I have yet to try Vay, though I looks appealing.

Vay - high quality traditional JRPG with unfortunately nothing to distinguish it. Really, the only thing I have to say about Vay is that it didn't suck.

Re: What are your favorite Sega CD games?
i am kind of into point and click games also. i loved myst. except the part where you had to travel through the maze on that rail system. i probably spent an hour or two on that part trying to get through it without a walkthrough and couldn't. i just picked up a few sega cd games, one of them which is mansion of hidden souls. have you tried this one out? i will probably eventually pick it up, play, and give her a go. i also want to try secret of monkey island which i hear is good.bladerunner wrote: I have long been a fan of point and click adventure games, so there is a lot to like on the Sega CD.

I have not tried Mansion of Hidden Souls, though Monkey Island is a classic. I never played the Sega CD version, having owned it for the PC. The PC will always be the true home of point and click adventures, but the SCD had its fair share of good ones.

is will beam really a good game? what is the premise of it? i had it forever and probably played it only for 5 minutes and thought it was dog shit. i probably could have given it more of a chance. even the guys over at sega-16 give it a high score; i think a 8 or 9 out of 10.bladerunner wrote: Willy Beamish - I enjoyed this a great deal as a kid, so it holds a lot of nostalgic value for me.

Willy Beamish is a point & click adventure game. Play the PC version if you can.

I love Snatcher and The Secret of Monkey Island.
I'm dying to try the few RPGs the Sega CD has to offer, though.

Hatta is right, the PC version of Willy Beamish is better, but I had the SCD version growing up, so again, nostalgia. Basically you are a grade school kid who is obsessed with video games and is trying to get to a big video game tournament. The humor is great and the hand drawn cartoon look is classic. If you like pint and click games, check it out.
