 no way, bro. Not offended at all. It wasnt like that. nothing personal going on here, although I see how it looked like that by my post.

I was just commenting on how you are just beating the hell out of the dead horse. You just seem to be really excited about it and I was just trying to be sour and ruin your fun a bit, since I didnt think it was nearly as funny as you

No biggie. just being a dick

Just trying to have a good time at another's expense like yourself... all good!

If you love it, that's all that matters. I think it's very cool.

As for the Dreamcast, sorry dude, but NO. It looks awful, whether or not you were trying for something other than the original art, it just looks bad. I would reccomend starting over.

What I would do instead is create giant stickers using printable sticker paper, and then use an exacto knife to cut the thing into the right shapes to cover the entire thing so it would look like the Street Fighter IV skin for the 360.

bronzed flesh + skull white
+ snakebite leather and blood red for shading

The GW paint have changed quite a bit since I last used them that meant every thing had to be painted 3 times to get a solid colour.

I know I made mistakes, I never claimed it was perfect.
If I could paint photo realistic pictures do you think I would be sitting around painting Sega Dreamcasts?

I don't see the point in sanding it down and starting again. I have a pile of dreamcast I can paint and by finishing this one I've learnt loads of things that will make painting the next one easier and give better results.

That's because we're all harsh bastards on here for some reason. Everyone is quick to comment on how bad a job somebody has done but never put their work up for critique (with a few exceptions).

It doesn't look too bad and you did a much better job than I ever could with acrylics. I suck at painting, if i'm going to do a logo or an image I use stencils and spray paint (like my stencilled SNES, which I still haven't gotten around to taking pictures of. I don't have a digital camera). I also practice on something else first to make sure I can do it right every time.

The next one will be much better since you will learn from your mistakes.

P.S. did you eyeball it or did you draw out a template to follow?

If I were to do something like that I'd use something that didn't have so much shading on it. I think the main problem is that it looks flat in some places and well shaded in others. Using a sprite might have been easier and more effective?

After 4 years in art school, I can tell you that negative criticism is VERY important. Yeah it was harsh, but it was necessary. I find that those who listen to criticism and take the steps to change and improve their work were the ones who were most successful. The folks who took criticism as an insult were the ones who were making the same mistakes in their fourth year that they were making in their first year, aka they had awful work.

A few changes and that custom job would've been MUCH better. As it stands I'd give it a 3/10
