Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Would you rather have games, or a social life?

Or, if you look hard enough, you might find other gamers that you can socialize with, getting you both. Find out if your university has a gaming club.

This is so much a false dilemma it's not funny.

For starters, do you want a so-called social life that forces you to stop doing something you like that is not harmful in any sense? Do you think it's worth being friends with that kind of people? I don't think so.

Yeah, its not even a decision that has to be made.

And many of us are into sports/fitness, drinking/partying some, hot girls, and believe it or not... VIDEO GAMES!

Their is always going to be people that say "video games are a waste of time",but I don't listen to those people because if I enjoy it then they can like it or not its the way it is.I have a small amount of action figures and comics, but I care don't if anyone sees it or not.I consider myself pretty normal not a stereotypical nerd, just a gaming addict.

im at uni now (in the UK) and the only person i've found who has negative opinions on video games is (ironically) one of my media lecturers.

in fact, a random presentation group i was put in the other day ended up spending half an hour talking about pokemon. I dont think that many people i've ever met here are really down on computer games in any major way. :S most of the sports nerds and what ever spend a lot of their time playing FIFA anyway :p

You mean the time they asked me to go to a party, so I showed up in a Hawaiian shirt, with a PS2 under my arm, and all they asked was if I played Tekken?

What school do you go to, Max?
I go to Dalhousie University.
