That reminds me. I think that all the zelda games I've played have had really well thought out soundtracks

While I do say that Final Fantasy 6 holds that crown for me, there are many games that I cannot stress the awesomeness of the soundtrack, and I do have to give the Mega Man series a hand because rarely has any of the MM games soundtracks really let me down.

I would also like to take a moment and say that the music of the Silent Hill series, while twisted and bizarre, has also given me many hours of joy listening to it. Akira Yamaoka has consistently done some amazing work, and Mary Elizabeth McGlynn's vocals are simply great.

Ever since Moz put the whole series soundtrack in the downloads thats all i've been listening to and I agree, it is 100% fantastic!

Castlevania: SOTN, Karnov, Mega Man 2, Rez, and Double Dragon II come to mind for me.

I have a ton of game soundtracks and lately the ones I've been listening to more and more are compilation types, like the "Peach Healing Music" from the Club Nintendo series.
