I heard they made the actress wear foam and latex man legs and arms for authenticity.

There are a bunch of anime SF movies too.

Of varying quality.
If each mistake being made is a new one, then progress is being made.

I don't understand why people make video game-based movies they never are good. These movies are pointless and everyone knows its going to be bad, they probably thought SF4 would help this.

Everyone should watch it in both audio tracks though. The dub was good for what it was, but its a completely different experience.

Also worth noting that even the "uncut" American releases are still cut. And I'm not just talking about chun-li nudity.

Yeah, that's the one. I saw it a few years back. I wonder if I could find the thing, because when my family opened the video store way back when we had like, 2 dozen copies, some were original and some were "uncut". We were actually giving them away for just a dollar a piece from the store counter!

Look, let's be frank. I enjoyed Doom. I also enjoyed Mortal Kombat and Double Dragon. Mario Bros. had nothing to do with the game, but I still can't help but like the movie. All of Uwe Boll's movies sucked, the Mortal Kombat sequel was God awful, the Tomb Raider movies weren't very good, and I really didn't care for large portions of the Resident Evil movies. I really loved the Silent Hill movie, though it's got problems.

Video game movies haven't been done well, sure, but they have their ups and downs. But, how long did it take comic books to put together a good film? Well...not including the epicness that was the 60s Batman flick, because that was pure gold. Out of tons of CB movies, there are quite a few that were terrible, some that are decent, and very few that I would consider approaching anything close to a masterpiece. It took comics a long time to gain any respect, and in some cases, they still don't. Sci Fi and Horror get thrown through the ringer too. Video game movies will get their turn, but it's gonna take a while, and we're gonna need a director that really understands them. We'll get there, just wait a little while.

Well said! Although I love the RE movies (except the third one) and the Tomb Raider films were okay... Silent Hill was awesome! I wish they would have done more at the end rather than the big flashback scene... more creepy monsters and less creepy religious nuts... oh well. Totally agree about Uwe "Bowel" also! I still never made it through Max Paine... fell asleep...
