What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Must be some kind of lawyer-speak.

Apparently I have written "Maine" 302 times. Make that 303.
Hmm Texas only 47 times for me, and they say we are the proud ones...

How many golf games were on the SNES? Although in my opinion there was only one: HAL's Hole In One Golf! I have completely erased any thought of Mecharobot Golf from my mind, you see.
Kirby's Dream Course is the pinnacle of golf games on the SNES.

D'OH! Major error there. I have that game, there's no excuse. That was also by Hal Laboratory. I guess I was thinking more traditional golf games on the SNES.

please don't revoke my SNES card for a credible lack of good golf game knowledge

Not true!!! I'm still missing Brandish 3 & 4, Zwei 1 & 2, Rinne, Xanadu Next, Dinosaur, and a slew of others.

Anyway, nice to see you as always.
The fact you know these exist makes you an elite Falcom collector.

Not that many, actually. The Genesis was the system for golf games during the 16-bit era. (BTW, the only game I need for my SNES golf collection is PGA Tour 96. I don't think it will be hard to fins at a good price.)

I also agree that HAL's Hole in One Golf is the best "realistic" golf game on the system, and it was my very favorite golf game on any system until Hot Shots Golf 3 (PS2) dethroned it.

I will have to switch to "additionally"...

:( I had not one, but TWO PS3's break on me today. While still raging, I bought another with money that I don't have. Bllllaaaaaargh.

:D Two weeks of Japanese lessons and it's going pretty well. Today was the last free day though, so I'll have to cough up more money by this time next week. I'm getting better at speaking to others over the mic.

:) Finally got GTA V, but now I don't have a way to play it. :?

Yeah, the Genesis had way more (and better) 16-bit traditional golf games. EA's PGA series really didn't do well on the SNES. Thank goodness for Hole In One and Kirby's Dream Course.

PGA Tour 96 is under $10. Not bad. I just wish those T&E games on the SNES weren't so painfully slowwwwwwwwwwwww.... otherwise Wicked 18 might have been just worth it.

Kotoba Miners.

Minecraft based Japanese classes, They are really neat and fun to do. You can watch some of their YouTube videos to get an idea of what it's like to take a class. It's completely free to play on the server and self study, but you have to pay for the classes. The first class is free, but then you pay $20 a month, or $150 for lifetime (super cheap for Japanese lessons!).

If you want to join us, we just started JP2 so you can easily catch up. You'll need to learn the hiragana and katakana on your own, but that's super easy and can be done within a week. I take the Tuesday classes at 2PM CDT with Zerot-sensei.

Their site and forums are difficult to navigate, so if you need help figuring something out, let me know.

:) Was doing a detail last night at work, walking around in areas of the building that normally aren't occupied. Stumbled on a ring that I assumed was costume jewelry because WHO LEAVES A WEDDING BAND WITH A DECENT SIZED ROCK LYING AROUND?!?... it was not. It was a real wedding band that a coworker had apparently lost the day before (she was doing a similar but different detail and I guess took it off because it was bothering her, then forgot) So making someone's day is nice

:? It belonged to the *ONE* person, out of nearly 200 in this building, that I truly absolutely cannot stand. She's been nothing but a royal see you next tuesday to me since I started, and to most people here. She's the biggest control freak, and just a general all-around bitch that wants things done her way or the highway, and she will frequently skip chain of command to complain to the higher-ups to get things done the way she wants. I have ONE black mark on my record in 3 years here, and it's because she complained about overhearing me joking around with a different coworker (TL;DR - I told my other coworker that I would punch her in the tit again - the coworker I told this to laughed about it... mind you, the raving bitch who complained has a pair of plastic tits hanging off her rear view mirror. Or I suppose I should say HAD, another coworker complained about those after they heard about her complaining about me). I really truly want her to stop working here, be it by transferring to a different shift so I see her less, quitting, getting fired, or honestly dying.

:?: I'd like to think I'm a good enough person that I would have given it back even if I knew it was hers, but there's a tiny sliver of me that thinks man... that cash would've been nice!
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed
Chronically out of date BST thread

Mincecraft based Japanese classes?! My mind is blown.

I already can speak a fair amount, which is why I was curious. I have some language-learning software but I never got signed up with a website/forum/whatever online. Neat stuff.
