I bought Pokémon X and Y cases & manual for $12 shipped from ebay. I think the Club Nintendo codes may still be good.

These go with finding X & Y carts at the pawn for $10 each. So I have $33 in CIB Pokémon X & Y

I've been asking if they had any video game stuff but they say they don't. I'm still waiting for my big score.

It will come..... IT WILL COME!!!! :D You have to be patient, gamehunting is not easy. Just keep asking, always ask. I wish you the best of luck though.

Definitely, always ask. Also, be prepared to hear "we've actually had a few people ask that already" many times. This hobby isn't getting any easier to hunt for. I've heard this reply more than I care to mention, even within 10 minutes of the darn sale starting. :(

Found some cart only games at a Savers for $8.34 total last weekend. They needed to be cleaned up but the labels were in nice shape.

Justice League Task Force - SNES
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - SNES
Super Mario Bros - NES
Super Mario World - SNES - 2x

They also had Road Rash, Destruction Derby, and Ridge Racer CIB PS1 longbox for $4 each but the discs were scratched up so I passed.

Came back in to finish my post description of the games on the previuos page and found all the Replies. Does anyone celebrate Easter around here?

@ jmbarnes101 - Nice price on the Nintendo games!

Holly cow! I've never seen prices like that outside of garage sales. Nice finds.

While I celebrated Easter I didn't go out today due to illness. Plus my kids are with their mother but I don't know what everyone else has for an excuse.

Thanks, I got excited when I saw them. I figured their was something wrong with them but they were just really dirty.

@vatermusik - I already have a nice Super Mario World but couldn't pass those up for that price. I wanted Zelda and the others were a nice bonus.

I concur with the above. I'm actually bad at asking. I feel like I'm "that guy" if I slide from one booth to the next asking one after another. I'm not really shy, like I said I just feel like that guy.

At any rate, it really is about just putting the time in. Go the first day of a yard sale (usually Saturday) if it sounds good or is close and show up about 20-30 min early in case they let people in early. Even if it says 'no early birds' that often doesn't apply when the time comes, so I usually just keep an eye out from the car if I'm early so I don't get beat.

Most of the time you'll find nothing, but I had two or three scores last year that made it all worth it. Like a lot of things, you're just putting the effort in for that one time it pays off and it will.

Asking is a good idea but look through the sale first. Asking sometimes gets you labeled as a "reseller" or somebody who can be suckered out of a few more bucks since you obviously want the items. I always ask as I am leaving. There is that moment where the seller is thinking "shit there goes another person without buying anything" and I capitalize on that moment.

It doesn't hurt to look through their stall either you can find all sorts of stuff that may not necessarily game related but is still cool.

Also even if you do find the games at a sale always ask if they have "anything else" you would be surprised how often people leave the good stuff in the trunk of their car

I hid the Mega Man X2 in between Home Alone and Addams Family (which I didn't really want but used it to hide Mega Man X2. I figure those are better than sport games) at a Yard Sale.

...why does this seem to make me feel...awkward? Like I want to say good find, but at the same time, this move seems super shady. I get the reason "why" you did it, but still. I'm just gonna say, that's kind of a dick move.
