lol so you're supposed to use a dollar to buy the instructions???

Honestly this is why I skip eBay, with the exception of stores like hit-japan that have massive amounts of positive feedback.

seeing that her store sells mostly random games and kids stuff most likely the seller is some clueless mom so I didn't cuss her out but I did explain to her that I expected a full refund.

:D Found a power adapter for my long-lost 1TB WD MyBook. found tons of games i had downloaded and forgot about, but the biggest positive for me is it had my old iTunes library on it, so i'm listening to bands and songs that i had completely forgotten about from 5-6 years ago. man, this is awesome. i'm only through the A's and have said "oh shit, yeah!" more times than i can count.

So apparently I'm an idiot and filed an ebay complaint with the wrong person. since I got the greatest hits version of Ace Combat 4 I assumed it was this listing, http://www.ebay.com/itm/171353429795?ss ... 1439.l2649

The covers look so god damn similar.

but in fact it was from this listing
http://www.ebay.com/itm/131192033440?ss ... 1439.l2649

the game was only $1 + $4 shipping so him putting a dollar in there he was pretty much giving the game to me for free I just had to pay shipping. So I dropped the case against the case against the guy selling 5 and apologized quite profusely to him that there was a confusion and opened it against the guy who sold me 4. It is such a little money to get upset about but what pisses me off is why the hell didn't he just contact me and say "Hey I only have one left of this game and it doesn't have a manual do you still want it?" I would of said "Hey thanks for telling me no I would not want to buy that game without manual can you cancel the order and refund my money" I would not of wanted to buy the game without a manual for $4. I opened the case with him not about the money but to explain to the guy why this is a problem and it is better to be open about things and ask before shipping if something is different than how it is listed. I get PMs from sellers all the time about little nit picky things they noticed while packing my game that they failed to notice before like a little crease or tear in the manual and they asked me if I still wanted it, and I told them that is no big deal thank you for asking.

:) Future Bone house did well at home inspection. A few chimney issues, but we're going to ask the homeowners to take care of it. My future game room is going to be epic. And it's on a separate floor from the bedrooms so I don't have to worry about having the TV turned to low at night.

 I move into that house on July 18th. My in-laws move in to the house I currently inhabit on July 1st. This is not going to end well.

One year in and it's 90% likely I will have to move back in with my parents. I have hunted, and hunted, and hunted for a job over the last two and a half months to no avail. I'm out of money. My provider took a huge pay-cut in February. My health scare luckily doesn't appear to be anything more than a scare but its the shit cherry on top of everything that has now piled on at once. Not to mention many of my passion projects and entertainments are effectively dead because they rely on the internet, and up here we have dial-up level internet since my parents live in the middle of nowhere. I have about two weeks to figure things out.

I feel like I've failed at life.

I feel like shit.

Damn Ryan that sucks, but cheer up it is only temporary. Things could be alot worse, not sure what your relationship is with your folks but there are alot of people out there who aren't so lucky to have parents who are willing to help out in a time of need. This too shall pass.

Hey man, at least you gave it a go. As much as I've tried, I just don't have the money to move out in the first place. There is a mining boom here at the moment and rent is way high. Plus all the jobs here screw over young people, I barley make enough to break even after petrol and educational costs (everyone's hours get cut in favour of short term profit, but that's a rant for another time).
Most people I know who have moved out have been back with their folks within the year, the only exception I can think of is a mate who moved into a another house owned by his Dad (incredibly low rent and responsibility).

:D Had a super good day at work yesterday though, probably pulled down the best sales since I became a manager.

:( It's flipping 4 degrees! (Celsius)

I faced a similar situation a few years ago. My text preparation software did not correctly account for some income, and I ended up owing several thousand dollars in back taxes. At the end of the day, I determined that I had no real recourse against the tax preparation software (despite the fact the audit undoubtedly resulted from its error...The software company admitted that...). I also realized that the most I would be entitled to recover would be the penalties and interest which were less than a few hundred dollars. (I did, after all, owe the taxes.) Although I was furious, it most certainly was not an amount worth suing over (and I can see people for free!). The software company did, however, offer to let me use its software again the next year for free, but I declined that offer (and have done my own taxes ever since).
