Tearing up typing like a kid with a scraped knee...

http://voices.suntimes.com/arts-enterta ... ead-at-24/

My friend who was my stand up "puncher" died of an overdose. 24.

24.

Foreshadowing

Around ten years younger than me, and ten times funnier than me. Comedy heaven just got a new angel.

But yeah. This is terrible news. Wasted talent makes me something super sad. And his parents...dear God they must be going through something I hopefully never know/feel.

One more frown: My boss doesn't think Chicago is in the Midwest and also thinks that calling someone "a pistol" is an insult. I have a laundry list for my own exit interview if need be.

Smiles: Still loving the fact that I woke up hugging my dog. My wife has woken me up in other great ways, but holding the pup nose to nose was super.

chicago is 100% the midwest and don't ever let any pistol tell you any different.

i'm really sorry to hear about your friend.

Smile: Nintendo's "press conference". Except for a new Metroid or Advance Wars, I couldn't ask for anything more.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Thanks Aaron. He would have been famous or one hell of a manager. He never told me "How" to punch up a joke, rather kindly state "you know what you might want to try...".

IMO, unless someone is continuously screwing up, that's how you phrase it. That or "Here's what might work for ya".

He was so open, kind, and stupidly smart for someone his age. It's a shame.

Smile: Finally got home from work! Big ol Duck Tales Woo-Hoo!

I think I have just the right amount of time to squeeze in a movie, so hopefully that'll happen.

Frown: Haven't had the time to even open my new DS. I fear it might be something I only use while traveling.

btw.. I need to figure out how to change the volume on that thing as I don't see a volume thingy.

Also very happy for my newly acquired GB/GBC/GBA cases (same size/shape/color as DS cases). Really hope this dude keeps making other cases like he says he will.

Where did you get those cases at?
There's a gentleman who runs a site called CustomGameCases.com. He's an active member by the name of Shadowfox over at TheCoverProject.net -- I don't believe he has them for sale yet on his website, as he just got them from China last week and is fulfilling pre-orders from TCP, but he intends to. You can also go make an account there (since presumably you'll want art for the cases anyway) and message him/post in his threads.

Very nice guy, very driven (he financed the molds for the GB cases himself, said as soon as he breaks even he'll be financing the next mold -- reproduction Sega clamshells -- himself, etc with plans for at least 6-8 diff ones)... the cases are great.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed
Chronically out of date BST thread

:D Walked into one of my local pawn shops today and that wanker of a reseller I was complaining about a few pages back was there again, yet this time I (somehow) got all the loot. I left to go to an op shop just down the road and got there about 5 minutes before he did, yet again buying up all the good stuff :D Nothing too special mind you, but stuff he would of undoubtedly bought if he got in first. Resell that, motherfracker.

 I have have a mountain of algebra homework to get through, and not much time to do it. I guess I should get off the internet...
