What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Crappy CG, crappy acting, crappy action. LHF is the perfect in-flight movie.

In fact the CG is so bad, it's probably the worst of all time.

Looks like a new Steven Seagal movie.

Money Monster: Didn't feel like I wasted my money, and a decent flick, although not something I think I'll see again.

The Stanford Prison Experiment: Interesting little movie about the whole deal. Opens a up quite a few questions for one to ponder.

It Follows: While it was good from a cinema and... uhh, can't think of a good word, thematic? standpoint, I found it somewhat dull quite honestly. I might have overhyped the movie for myself waiting for a chance to see it, I'm not sure.

admittedly, it's a slow burner. And I love slow burners. But it's possible you'll enjoy it more 10 years from now.

Spoiler for those who haven't seen it yet (see it!)
To me, the movie is basically about how when we're young we all want to be "grown ups." And the second we become grown ups, we become cursed with the realization of our mortalities. It's pretty real and heavy shit.

I see where you are going with that, and its a good point. For me, as someone who usually doesn't have an issue with slow burners, I just felt like the horror of it all was lacking for me. Body horror and sexual horror usually hit me a bit, but here it didn't, and I'm not sure why.

Hey, it is what it is. Art of any kind is subjective on a personal level. So who can say why we like what we like. But you may change your mind, as tastes change over years. Movies I used to hate I love now, and vice versa.

It's definitely not everyone's cup of tea. I love it, I actually purchased it twice. Maika was great, the rest of the cast was admirable. You have to realize the movie only had a reported budget of two million as well, considering that, it is a hell of an accomplishment.

Check out Stoker if you haven't, perhaps that will impress a bit more. It's a great little thriller/horror movie. You can pick it up at dollar general for $2.95 right now if you have a blu-ray player and a well stocked DG.

I rooted for the evil entity in It Follows. None of the characters were likeable, I enjoyed seeing them getting killed off. <spoiler> Too bad two of them remained :|

I watched Ernest Scared Stupid for the 10,000,000,000th time with my mom this weekend.
