I mostly went in to see Jeremy Irons perform, I met the guy by accident a few years ago (the only celeb I met in a long time) while he was on vacation and he's a nice bloke. The film itself is a nice.. biopic? Because I didn't hear of this indian math protege despite studying calculus for seemingly forever back in the day. I didn't finish it because I was called to an important concern, but I definitely want to re-watch it in full when it hits retail.

Why? :| (didn't actually watch it, just dismayed by its very existence)

I've watched this movie at least once a year since it was released in 2009 - and twice in 2009. Once in the theater, and once on DVD. And y'know what? I kind of love it. What's great is that it poses as a remake but really it's another sequel. It opens with the end of Part 1 (re-enacted). It then jumps to modern day. But it references that the events of Parts 2-8 happened (remember, the "Jason" trilogy was more like alternate reality comic books than actual sequels). Kids know the urban legend of Jason; an old woman says that many folks have gone missing around Crystal Lake over the years - murdered by "him;" and there's even a wheelchair in Jason's shack - a clear nod to Part 3. It's also got some great kills and is a lot of fun.

This arrived, and after watching it....

Well, what the hell? It was interesting, but incredibly strange.

Also, nude much? Longest nude scene ever in a mainstream movie.

Yet still that perpetual state of being nude pales in comparison to the length of her nude scene in the movie. Her entire wardrobe consisted of pubic hair.

At one point she is clothed.
This is when she was Patrick Stewart.
The movie is so very strange that the nudity was the most normal thing about it. I'm not sure if I liked it or not, but it certainly was not your average flick.

the third RE movie is not as good as the first two. But it picks up by the second half. There's definitely some cool parts. I don't know. I liked the Alice character more before she became some ridiculous Terminator unstoppable force. But whatever. Claire's in it (Ali Larter) so that was cool. Not great, but not terrible.

Scott Pilgrim vs the World was on Comedy Central yesterday. I frikkin' love that film. I need to get a copy on Blu-Ray. Saw Deadpool a month or so back in the theater and really loved that, too. Scott Pilgrim is probably my favorite comic to movie translation of all time.
