 - getting short pay for at least a week or two

:D - going to get backpay once the transfer finally goes through corporate and comes back to the store(will also make it easier to see my schedule online when it finally happens). Not to mention I finally got two of the biggest names of the Zelda franchise for nes finally(it took long enough to find a decent copy and was just random when I did find it)

:) / :( - Finally decided on a layout for my room that I'm hoping will stay for quite awhile(I have a hard time deciding because I want to use my chairs and everything) / wanted to put the smallest tv stand I could find in my room but still looks like I would have too much furniture...
My gameroom
My systems: NES, SNES, N64, Gamecube, Wii, original gba, gba sp(001), ds lite, 3ds, vita, psp, PSone(101 model) ps2, ps3(320gb model), ps4, retron 5, and Dreamcast.

Smile: Professional development in the Flake household is at an all time high. This week, I satisfied the terms of my hiring agreement to be converted to salary on Monday. Comes with a raise that amounts to an extra couple hundred a month plus a week backpay from my first week on hourly. So yeah, get those BST lists updated.

At the same time, my wife accepted a position with the army to be a research scientist. It's a phd position that she managed to snag with only her masters degree and a whole slew of experience in grant proposal writing. Oh, and it comes with a shorter commute, better working hours, and a big bump in pay.

When I think about how stressful things were 6 months ago when I got laid off and my wife got furlowed, it's like we're living in a completely different world.

Frown: Have the house all to myself this morning and I'm doing a terrible job of keeping myself busy.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Glad to hear the good news, Flake.

8) (somewhat similarly) My wife is now an adjunct professor. She gets a pay increase, which is fantastic as she's the only one who works.

:) Looking at four houses on Friday. Based on what I've seen online, I'm absolutely in love with one of them. Hoping that it lives up to the expectations.

:x Had a bad experience at my daughter's pediatrician yesterday. Seriously considering switching to another provider.

Moving can be fun.

Packing everything and then unpacking it in a new arrangement and fashion. It's like a fresh start.

A fresh start and new arrangement can be fun. I dunno about the whole packing/carting/unpacking nonsense. :P

^ Well I don't own any furniture so it's a bit easier for me.

But packing is a good way to take inventory of your stuff and figuring out what to get rid of.

It's a rocking bench. And I'm afraid it belongs to the landlord. :(

(I am seriously considering getting an acoustic instrument though, so I can play outside)
