I have two options for my blog right now.

1) Stick with rude, unhelpful hosting that nontheless I've never had any real problems with.
2) Save 12€ a year and go somewhere else, at the risk of having actual problems.

Thoughts?

Is there any kind of review system in place for those types of companies? I would think that would be worth looking into, though I would assume you have already.

Everybody on here having blogs has got me thinking though. I'd love to start one up and do some writing, though I don't know what about. Gaming seems to be too filled up as of current, and besides writing things that sound like they belong on a geocites page made by a 14 year old emo kid, I don't know what else I could do. I've also had the thought of buying some cheap music making software of some kind and doing remixes and such, or possibly even making my own music, though my dream of becoming an underground chopped & screwed k1ng or an untouchable electronic guru seem too far fetched.

I am, but I know so little about it it is pathetic. I know the name, and that all of it I've heard I've liked, and that I've never met a chopped and screwed remix I didn't like.

That's the Internet in a nutshell, anyway. Lots of folks talking, and no one really cares. Unless, you know, you're very talented or lucky and amass a following!

Seriously, though, write about something you're passionate about. And remember that success won't come overnight, regardless of what you choose to write about.

Yes, but none of them seemed trustworthy. It seems the vast majority are simply undercover advertising.

The ratio of comments/visits is surprisingly high. You can see I have very few comments on my blog, less than 20 in total despite having had some fairly popular articles.

That said, I'm not representative because most of my blog views are referals from other sites and people comment on those sites instead of my blog. So, for example, there are no coments on my review of This War of Mine but I got lots of messages on Twitter and even some reply articles

Still, I think you have to like to write for the sake of it. You won't get much interaction for a very long time and you need to update constantly for it to happen.
