I don't think anyone is criticizing the band's musical abilities (durst aside), I think most people are agreeing that limp bizcit came off as a band of douche bags who made, at best, mediocre music. And music being subjective, people tend to base their judgment on who is making the music.
No doubt the band had talent, but the shit stain that is durst is like a dog turd on an otherwise great sundae.
I believe there is one instrumental song on whatever album they covered Faith on (George's version is still infinitely better in every way possible) that I loved and couldn't believe it was by the same band.
Rap Rock has never been my thing. Even when Cypress Hill went to that genre I couldn't stomach it.

Limp Bizkit are just a great party band overall. Their silliness is a large part of their appeal. I don't even consider Wes to be the star of the show, necessarily. That'd take too much credit from the other members, like Sam Rivers, who is a highly underrated bassist. One of my favorite Bizkit albums, Results May Vary, was made during Wes' absence - with ex-Snot guitarist Mike Smith taking his place. That's the album chock-full of Bizkit ballads.
The thing is, the group was commercialized to hell and back and blew up too quickly. This made Durst very cocky, and was overall responsible for much of the flack that the band still receives. Fred takes himself, and the band very seriously - which may or may not be the best thing for them.
What I find especially interesting are Fred's film aspirations. Everyone likes to imagine him as some buffoon, meanwhile he's directing films like The Education of Charlie Banks starring Jesse Eisenberg.

Lets get back to pictures, and not talk about shitty noise that wants to call itself music, okay? That stuff is both an insult to rap and metal.

I liked Limp Bizkit, thought they retired 12 years ago though, at least that's what Fred said after 9/11, haven't heard any of there music since then.
That said, first time ever (I think) that I agree w/Forlorn, back to pics for this thread.
John - your daughter is adorable. Thank you for sharing.

I'm all for keeping a topic on-topic.
I'm quite dismissive about folks who have no qualms walking into a thread and referring to something that other people are saying they like as "an insult to rap and metal."
I suppose I'm a bit more 'if you don't have anything nice to say though.' I'd imagine there's lots that Forlorn likes that I could call shit, but choose not to.

I'm open about my opinions. It causes me a lot of trouble.

it's fine. You can have an opinion. I just personally wouldn't say "let's not have this discussion cuz it's about a band I don't like."

Let us not derail the thread with music, HERE IS MY PHOTO!
Re: Post a picture of yourself...no not a damn mug
Pictures from vacation.
Chillin' at the Zoo (Other than the Dinosaurs, it wasn't a big hit with her)
Insectarium Mayhem! She absolutely loved the bugs, and it was difficult to drag her through the whole thing because she wanted to stop and look at each one. The butterfly garden was amazing.
Aquarium: Fish! What do!?
The family... (yes. I'm aware that I'm short)

Jinx, for some reason only one of the pictures loaded for me (the insect one), but you have a cute little girl (based on what I could get out of the perspective of the shot).
A girl who likes bugs will also hopefully have some tomboy instincts.
