congrats, SB.

I have both versions but I've been playing ver1 this month for no reason other than I have it and usually play ver2 instead.

RE: Leona's Tricky Adventure - been a busy weekend so haven't had time to try it yet. I'm excited though. The reviews were good for it on Steam anyway. I also love that it supports the mouse. So I'll be using that to play.

alright so I'm an hour or so into Leona's Tricky Adventure. It's like Fruit'y... only way way better. It looks better, has better music, has the added overhead map and little adventure mode that makes it feel like an RPG puzzler hybrid, and it's not so super obtuse. There's actually a tutorial that eases you in. I'm very impressed with this one. My favorite part? They made it compatible with the Dreamcast mouse which works PERFECTLY for such a game.

Dangit Noise, you're going to hurt my wallet! That's great news and I'm super pumped that the game is out now. Did you order a retail copy or what? Was it a pressed disc? Give us the deets!

Love the setup SB. You have inspired me to pull my Dreamcast out and see if I can null modem it.

So speaking of getting a Dreamcast online, was there ever a third party ethernet modem made for it? I'd LOVE to be able to use what limited online capabilities it still has at this point, but I just can't justify shelling out that much for a broadband modem for it, and I'm assuming the built-in modem won't do me much good, right?

yeah retail copy, pressed disc. Looks really nice.

nope. That's why the BBAs are so expensive.

Although you can play more games with dialup. Maybe look into the DreamPi?

This is probably a stupid question, but just pretend I'm an idiot (you don't have to try very hard). I've got a landline as part of my cable and internet bundle, but my internet is, obviously, broadband. Am I correct in assuming that I can't just stick the phone line into the Dreamcast's 56k modem and expect it work?

Noise, you got a picture of the case/disc?

Hey Elkin, you can get connected with a Raspberry Pi (called DreamPi), a free ISP with a landline, or a BBA. Noise mentioned it, but it's out there and there might be an article coming down the pipeline later on.

If we can get online and do some gaming, that'd be great! I'm curious if you have a landline and can make phone calls with it, then there likely might be a workaround to have your DC ping the servers for PSO, etc.

Yeah, my landline works and all that. I just wasn't sure if I could luck out and have it work that easily since both my phone and internet are through the cable company and use the same three-in-one modem. I doubt it, but it never hurts to ask guys smarter than you, amirite?
