Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Just tested my white Thai Sega Saturn I got from the Mustang/Hobie sales thread. Works like a charm... ^^
Internal battery is toast though. But that was to be expected after almost 2 decades...
Once I added the Action Replay import code for Panzer Dragoon Saga my PAL copy loaded just fine, and in NTSC video mode too... ^^
So I did a little test...
- PAL PDS on PAL SS: character does 150 steps in 60 seconds.
- PAL PDS on NTSC SS: character does 180 steps in 60 seconds.
And that's the way the cookie crumbles...

That's also why AA was the best game in the MOH series, and why every MOH afterwards was subpar.ExedExes wrote:I found out today that the entire team who worked on Medal of Honor Allied Assault formed Infinity Ward after that game was released, and created the Call of Duty series. I always thought those 2 games had a very similar feel to them.
You'll have to exclude last-gen systems from that statement. PS2 and oXbox have flattened out, and Gamecube prices are going back up. Current-gen stuff is getting cheaper for sure though. It's so weird seeing the games that used to be hot must-have AAA titles that couldn't be found for less than $55 sitting in the bargain bin at Gamestop for $5.prfsnl_gmr wrote:On the brightside, the prices for current and last-gen systems continue their spectacular decline! Look at the average price of Wii games, DS games, or any games for systems with "Xbox" or "Playstation" in their titles.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Well that's some crummy news.

I can't believe how great it was, and the expansion packs were nice too. Even the multiplayer is still pretty active. Too bad Pacific Assault went and ruined all that fun. I'm still working my way through it. Why can't we have a decent WWII Pacific Theater FPS already?BoringSupreez wrote:That's also why AA was the best game in the MOH series, and why every MOH afterwards was subpar.

I got Lego City Undercover from the library today (Free rentals woohoo) and I plan on bringing the Wii U into my TV area hooking it up and playing it ALL weekend ... unless it's bad :\ I hope I like it, I've been looking forward to it.
Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Played a bit of Ultimate Mortal Kombat on the ipad yesterday... how can turn something so good in awful mess of ugly poligons. EVERYTHING looks worse and is on more "advanced technology" than the original game.

Was looking through a thread about positive things to say about the Xbox One, and stumbled upon this link which is totally not relevant, and needed to post about it:
January 25th 2006, Nintendo denies that a redesigned DS is in the making.
January 26th 2006, DS Lite announced.
http://www.joystiq.com/2008/04/16/ninte ... onizingly/
It reminds me of something the US Government would do in a time of Crisis like during the movie 2012.
Government Day Before: "No the world is not going to erupt in a Giant Cataclysm lol"
Next Day: "Giant Cataclysm happens, we all die except the corporate/political leaders, and super rich"

I get the point you're trying to make and all, but it'd probably be more effective if you used an actual real world example instead of a really dumb movie.Hazerd wrote: It reminds me of something the US Government would do in a time of Crisis like during the movie 2012.

Im pretty sure the government would do exactly as it happend in the movie, our government is very predictable.AppleQueso wrote:I get the point you're trying to make and all, but it'd probably be more effective if you used an actual real world example instead of a really dumb movie.Hazerd wrote: It reminds me of something the US Government would do in a time of Crisis like during the movie 2012.
