Now you sound like me, hush up.

@Luke, my condolences. I can't imagine what that would be like to deal with.

Ouch I am sorry to hear. I can sympathize as ive broken several bones in my hand from football. I broke the knuckle on my left index finger. I thought it was just a bruise and continued to practice. However, that caused my whole finger to rotate 30 degrees so they had to insert pins. Just hope you dont need pins in your hand, they suck.
Yeah, i'll find out in a few days. The ER doc thought the break was relatively clean once the thumb tip was realigned, so i'm hoping to avoid surgery.

I managed to get the rafters for the roof done, about 10 total boards went up today, not nearly what was planned, but enough that the whole day wasn't a loss.

It's like any other injury, you don't realize how often you use that (insert injured body part) until it's out of commission.

I never thought about it until today - when I play w/pad, I use my right thumb as my primary button pusher. When I play w/stick, I don't use it at all.

Awesome! And remember, just because you can drill a hole in the wall and no one can stop you doesn't mean you should get carried away and put a bunch of holes in all your walls.

 Horrrribly misjudged my finances for the first time in forever. I've really gotta rein in my spending, I enjoyed it when I had $0 balance on my credit card. I don't carry a large one these days, but I want to go back to none. Gonna take a month or two to get there, fortunately I have a 3 paycheck month... either June or July, I forget.

But yeah. I paid a large chunk of my cc bill, which meant I was cutting my bank balance kinda close, but I get paid in a couple days. Then my internet bill comes and apparently I spaced out and didn't pay them last month (whoops -- happens to one bill like once a year with me. I should REALLY just make them ALL auto pay but I'm not that confident in my money managing yet). No big deal, I pay that. Then I wake up to my lawn being cut -- a neighbor guy takes care of it for me since I work overnights, real nice guy, works cheap, and he's kinda down on his luck veteran type so I like having him do what I need done because I feel like I'm helping him out. I give him a ring, ask if he's strapped or not (he's usually okay floating me a day or two, but I know sometimes he's also broke as a joke) and he says he's actually really strapped, so I get the cash to pay him. BUT, my car payment (which is one of those auto-debiting things) hits on Wednesday. I get paid... Thursday. Whomp whomp. This is going to leave me a whole $1.87 short of covering the car payment.

So Monday I get to tuck my tail between my legs and go in with the $5 in quarters I usually keep in my car for tolls on the highway and deposit it into my bank account so it doesn't overdraft.

I... feel like a big dummy. Hopefully this will make me stop being stupid with spending for a couple months, this is honestly unlike me, until I started my house remodel about a year ago (and started seeing a girl who's a couple hours away so hooray gas money) I always kept a good $1k or so in my checking account, was a month ahead in my mortage, paid bills as soon as they came in (none of this "wait for the due date" nonsense I've been doing lately)... I need to get back to that.

Awesome.

Smile: Around a year ago two of my great friends ended a sex year relationship. It was rough for both, and for all their friends as they had to schedule events so the two wouldn't be at the same place at the same time.

Because I was throwing a birthday bash, both came over and it wasn't a bit weird. It was great to have the crew back together.
