I think I notice a small amount of input lag.

One example. You know when you complete a level in Kirby's Adventure and then launch him into the clouds? On the R5 I have the hardest time doing this. I just can't get the timing down. No issues on an NES.

I have still been able to complete games like Contra on the Retron 5. And I mostly play RPGs, so no huge issues here.

I don't have the new model, but I've seen a lot of people complaining of the death grip in NES slot on the older models, but mine Retron 5 has no death grip on NES lot, so I think this issue is kinda random, maybe quality check issue?

I would say 9/10 NES games I pop in there grip it to the point of almost bending the board if I don't remove them carefully. I'm a little worried about the unit hopefully it loosens up with some more use. Genesis, GBA, and Super Nintendo ports seem to be doing fine at least.

Seriously, though, this is great news.

Holy shit.

Time to track down the rest of those Shining Force games and Phantasy Star spin-offs. This is amazing.

I saw this news a little while back, and I can't wait for this.

I only have a few GG games right now myself, but I guess it's a good time to get more in the near future:

I have:
Aerial Assault (mediocre)
Ax Battler (bad)
Chessmaster (crap)
Columns (Decent, but it's just Columns)
Halley Wars (pretty good shmup)
Shinobi (Excellent)
The G.G. Shinobi II (Even more excellent)
Sonic 2 (stick to the SMS version)
Sonic Chaos (probably the same for this)

Huh, looks like Madou Monogatari and Sylvan Tale have translation patches. May have to track those down.
