I have a battery backup thing on the outlet my PC is plugged in to. Every time lightning flashes, even if the power doesn't flicker at all, it makes a popping noise. It's weird.Michi wrote:Why is it lately that the minute I get a few free hours to sit down and play some games it storms or threatens to storm, and the minute I have something I need to do the weather clears right up? It's starting to tick me off. I'd play the freaking game anyway, but I don't want to kill another television or risk hearing one of my consoles go *POP!*.

Smile: I got an A on my Algebra exam, BTW, thanks to the people that helped me here with my equations, I wouldn't have done it without you.
Ticked: I go to something called "open school", it's a flexible type of education here in Mexico where you can go to school wherever you can while you progress at your own rythm. All this schools (Including the one I assist) are controlled by an institute called INEA (National institute for adult education) so 2 days after my tutor took me to one of the offices of the INEA to do my exam I went there again to know my results. Turns out my tutors had a bitch fit because I went there to ask if I passed my exam or not, even though the school has NO RULES (I go there because I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome so I can't go to a normal school due to my irregular schedules but must people go at an open school because they got expelled or because a normal school wouldn't accept them, that's how fucked up some of the students are) and they didn't tell me what I can or can't do so they are angry at me for something I didn't know and besides, they should be happy, I was the first person in 10 years to get a grade like that on that test and it took me a lot of effort to pull something like that off so they shouldn't be pissed off at me AT ALL. /end rant and wall of text

They got pissed off because you took the initiative to find out your own grade? They should shut up and be pleased you did so well instead of complaining that you went there without telling them first. If they didn't tell you to stay at home and worry and sweat over your grade until they contacted you than they have no one to be pissed at but themselves.KillerJuan77 wrote:Smile: I got an A on my Algebra exam, BTW, thanks to the people that helped me here with my equations, I wouldn't have done it without you.

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Exactly my thoughts, I had to grow a pair to face my grade (If you fail, you have to copy a 280 page algebra book on your notebook while you make yet another appointment to do the exam again so I had to know what my grade was before I progressed in spanish, lets face it, why would I start spanish if I knew that I failed the exam? I would be more focused on "remaking" the fucking book instead of wasting my time on spanish) and this is how they reward me? FUCK THAT! I'm going to rage on monday.Michi wrote:They got pissed off because you took the initiative to find out your own grade? That is the relay switching over from wall to battery power or vice versa. Mine does it too.BoringSupreez wrote: I have a battery backup thing on the outlet my PC is plugged in to. Every time lightning flashes, even if the power doesn't flicker at all, it makes a popping noise. It's weird.

The popping/clicking sound should be the relay for the surge protector/battery going off to switch that part of it on and immediately turning back off.BoringSupreez wrote: I have a battery backup thing on the outlet my PC is plugged in to.
